Our Family In Albury

Posted on June 11th, 2008 in Uncategorized by SW@rbY

On Friday our family went to Albury for a holiday. We left Hawkesdale at about 12:15 p.m and arrived at Albury at 7:30 p.m. It was a really long trip but it wasn’t too bad because we watched about four movies . About 30 minutes out of Albury we stopped at a driva reviva. When we arrived at the hotel Dad and I unpacked, while Mum and Chelsea went shopping. For tea we had pizza. After tea we watched the footy and went to bed.

In the morning we had a sleep in, then we had some breakfast. Soon after we looked around the hotel. The hotel that we were staying at was the Hovell Tree Comfort Inn. It was fantastic because it had a spa, gym, sauna and an outside pool.

On one of the days we went out to Mum cousin’s to see the  dairy farm and to catch up with uncle Trevor and his family. It took about one hour and a bit to get their from the hotel. When we got there we sat down and had some lunch. For lunch I had some soup and bread, also I had some sausage rolls. When we were all finished we had some sweets. For sweets I had some ice-cream. Later on we had a tour of the farm. It was quite dry because they haven’t had much rain. We saw how they get water to the dairy cows and the paddocks. Through about the middle of their property they had a channel (river) which was pretty full. They showed us some wheels that meaured the water levels and the speed of the water. By the time we got back it was milking time. Our family saw how the inside of the milking shed worked. Inside the shed was the rotary. A rotary is a big machine which allows the cows on a big wheel type thing to be milked. It can hold up to sixty cows at once. It involves two people one to put the cups on and one to take to take them off.

I see you lying on the beach reading your favourite book. You are watching the rest of the family surf and swim. I like seeing you relax and have no worries in the world. I like it when you finally sit down after a hard day of working. Sometimes I feel sorry that you do so much stuff for the family. I’m wishing you a happy mothers day.

1001 Flat Tales

Blair and I arrive at the indoor tennis in Warrnambool. “I’m so nervous” I say to Blair as we park in the car park.

“Come on George”. Yells Blair.

Blair and George just walk in the door when Matt said you’re on.

“What!”I say

Matt said “didn’t you now that you boys know that you are competing in the older age group because there am to many pairs in the u11’s so I but you up in the u12’s”.  Said matt.

Blair and George were having a hit against there apposition. The umpire say’s that we have to start. George serves first on his last serve his strings break. George rans to his bag to get his another racquet. When he gets to he is looking around in his bag but he can’t find it. He runs back to his Blair and told him that he can’t find it.

Well I can’t help because I’m already using my spare.

Then out of the crowd come Lleyton Hewitt and presented me with a racquet. Blair and George won the comp and George got a racquet.
